In Dziekanowice, on top of a steep hill on the Raba river, stands a large church of Sts. Nicholas the Bishop and Mary Magdalene, built between 1960 and 1966.
The church boasts the image of Our Lady of Dziekanowice, which was crowned by John Paul II in 1991. Right next to it, there is a little church from the turn of the 11th and 12th centuries. The main church fair is organised in the sanctuary on the Feast of the Motherhood of the Blessed Virgin Mary on the first Sunday after 11 October. Other festivals are celebrated on 22 July (the feast of Mary Magdalene) and on 6 December (the feast of St. Nicholas).
