This church was located at ul. Grodzka in the area of Wawel’s settlement beyond the city walls.
It was demolished in 1811, and in memory of the non-existing temple, the name of Mary Magdalene was given to the square, where that building used to have existed. It was a small aisleless church, built of limestone ashlars. Up to the height of one metre, the walls of the chancel have been preserved, while the walls of the nave – up to the height of about 50 cm, however, these relics are hidden under the paved surface of the square as the functional level of this site is currently higher.
