Old Jewish cemetery in Krakow called the Remuh Cemetery. It comes from the first half of the 16th century and is one of the oldest preserved Jewish cemeteries in Europe.
It represents the enormous historical value and is a unique monument of the Jewish culture on a European scale, which results from, inter alia, unusual symbolic ornamentation of the macebas. Interesting are also the characters of the dead who have been buried within its walls, and whose graves are now the target of pilgrimages.
