St. Faustina

St. Faustina

A modest nun of the Convent of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, Helena Kowalska (1905–38), was a visionary and mystic. She called for the cult of the Divine Mercy and recorded her experiences in Diary: Divine Mercy in My Soul. The painting Jesus, I Trust in You, was created on the basis of her vision. Pope John Paull II canonized her and established her feast day to fall on October 5. She is buried in the convent chapel in the Divine Mercy Sanctuary in Krakow.
